The Augustus Tolton Pastoral Ministry Program offers Black Catholic lay women and men a full tuition scholarship for a professional graduate theology degree that prepares them to minister in the Archdiocese of Chicago. The Tolton Program is cosponsored by the Archdiocese of Chicago.

Tolton Scholars

Tolton Scholars participate in the program with the understanding that they will commit to work in or on behalf of the Archdiocese of Chicago for at least three years after graduation.

Formation

In addition to the graduate theological educational component, Tolton Scholars are also involved in formation and an orientation to pastoral ministry in the Catholic church of Chicago.
